At the 2025 Gala, those who have gone above and beyond will be recognised for their hard work and the significant contributions they have made to the Property Management Industry. The awards are designed to recognise, reward, and celebrate excellence in Property Management. Participating in the Awards provides an opportunity to showcase your most outstanding qualities, biggest successes, and creative initiatives over the past 12 months. In 2025, entrants across 20 categories will be acknowledged for their achievements, client service, strategies, and commitment to the industry, among other areas.

To be eligible, you (or a representative) must be able to attend the gala on 12th December in Melbourne.

If you were nominated by someone else, please note that the nominator will remain anonymous, and there is no obligation to proceed with your application. If you have been nominated, select the category you were nominated for and follow the prompts.

Each question in the nomination form is marked out of 20, with a maximum of 100 points available per category.

Rising Star Award

This award celebrates an individual who has shown exceptional performance and rapid progression in their role within the first 1-2 years of their career. The nominee should demonstrate potential for future growth and significant impact in the industry, with innovative approaches to problem-solving and client service. A strong commitment to professional development and learning, along with positive feedback from mentors, colleagues, and clients, will be key considerations in selecting the winner.

Inspection Agent of the Year

This award recognises an individual who excels in conducting property inspections with accuracy and thoroughness. The ideal candidate will consistently receive positive feedback from clients and property managers, effectively use technology to enhance the inspection process, and demonstrate strong communication skills and timely reporting. Additionally, the ability to manage a high volume of inspections efficiently will be a key factor in determining the winner.

BDM of the Year

This award recognises an individual who has shown outstanding performance in business development and client acquisition. The nominee should have a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, implement successful sales and marketing strategies, and consistently achieve business growth targets. Positive feedback from clients and colleagues will also be a key factor in determining the winner.

BDM Leader of the Year

This award recognises an individual who has demonstrated outstanding performance in business development and client acquisition, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. The nominee should have successfully implemented effective sales and marketing strategies and consistently achieved business growth targets. Additionally, they must own or lead the BDM side of the business. Positive feedback from clients and colleagues will be a key consideration in selecting the winner.

Wellness Initiative of the Year

This award recognises the implementation of effective wellness programs that promote mental and physical health within the organisation or industry. Lia Storer Memorial Award

This award honours an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the property management industry. The nominee should demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and dedication to the profession, with evidence of a significant positive impact on both colleagues and clients. A strong commitment to professional development and industry excellence, along with recognition from peers and industry professionals for exemplary service, are essential criteria. The nominee must be a sole agent with less than two support staff.

Executive Property Manager of the Year

This award recognises an individual who has demonstrated excellence in strategic leadership and the management of property portfolios. The nominee must be the owner or leader of the business, with a strong track record of achieving business growth and client satisfaction. Innovative approaches to property management and client service, along with positive feedback from clients, team members, and industry peers, will be key considerations.

PM Leader of the Year (5 and under direct reports)

This award recognises an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and management of a small property management team. The nominee should have a proven ability to mentor and develop team members, with a strong track record of achieving team performance targets and client satisfaction. Positive feedback from team members and clients, along with evidence of innovative approaches to team management and client service, will be key considerations in selecting the winner.

PM Leader of the Year (More than 6 direct reports)

This award recognises an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and management of a large property management team. The nominee should have a proven ability to inspire and motivate team members, with a strong track record of achieving team performance targets and client satisfaction. Positive feedback from team members and clients, along with evidence of innovative approaches to team management and client service, will be key factors in determining the winner.

Commercial Team of the Year

This award recognises a team that has demonstrated outstanding performance in commercial property management across multiple portfolios. The team should have a proven track record of achieving business growth and client satisfaction, as well as successful commercial property transactions. Small PM Team of the Year (Under 5 team members)

This award recognises a team with under 5 staff, that has demonstrated excellence in performance and client service. The team should have a proven ability to achieve business goals and targets, with strong collaboration and support among team members. Positive feedback from clients and team members, along with evidence of innovative approaches to property management and client service, will be key factors in determining the winning team.

Medium PM Team of the Year (5-10 team members)

This award recognises a team with 5-10 staff, that has demonstrated outstanding performance and client service. The team should have a proven ability to achieve business goals and targets, with strong collaboration and support among its members. Positive feedback from clients and team members, along with evidence of innovative approaches to property management and client service, will be key factors in selecting the winning team.

Large PM Team of the Year (11+ team members)

This award recognises a team with 11 or more staff, that has demonstrated exceptional performance and client service. The team should have a proven ability to achieve business goals and targets, with strong collaboration and support among its members. Positive feedback from clients and team members, along with evidence of innovative approaches to property management and client service, will be key factors in determining the winning team.

Industry Influencer Golden Award

This award recognises a team or individual who has had a significant influence and impact on the property management industry in the past 12 months. The nominee should demonstrate strong leadership and thought leadership within the industry, with clear evidence of contributions to industry development and best practices. Collaboration with others to better the industry, alongside recognition from peers and industry professionals, and a positive impact on the reputation and advancement of the property management profession, will be key factors in selecting the winner.

Short Stay PM of the Year

The Short Stay PM of the Year award honours the property managers who excel in the dynamic and fast-paced short stay sector. This award recognises those who demonstrate exceptional skill in managing short-term rental properties, delivering outstanding guest experiences, and maintaining high occupancy rates. Nominees for this category are celebrated for their ability to navigate the unique challenges of the short stay market, from swift turnovers to maximising profitability for property owners. This award highlights the professionals who are setting the standard in short stay property management, showcasing their commitment to excellence and innovation in this growing segment of the industry.

Service Provider of the Year

The Service Supplier of the Year (individual or business) award recognises the outstanding service providers who play a crucial role in supporting the property management industry. This prestigious award is unique in that it is determined by public vote, allowing the broader community to have their say in celebrating excellence. Unlike other categories, this award is open to all service suppliers, including partners of PMP, ensuring a truly inclusive and competitive process. Nominees will be carefully shortlisted based on their impact, innovation, and dedication to the industry, after which the public will cast their votes to determine the winner. This award shines a spotlight on the businesses that go above and beyond to deliver exceptional value and service to property managers across the nation.

1. Eligibility:

→ Nominees must be actively working in the property management industry at the time of nomination and at the time of the awards ceremony on 13th December 2024.

→ Nominees must not be partners or staff members of Property Management Partners.

→ Nominees must not have been disqualified from holding real estate certification at the time of the awards or within the five years prior.

2. Finalist Requirements:

→ Finalists must be able to attend the awards gala on Friday, 13th December 2024, at Crown Melbourne, or have a representative attend on their behalf, to accept the award in the event they are announced as the winner.

→ If unable to attend in person, finalists may nominate an attendee to accept the award on their behalf.

3. Category Criteria:

→ All nominees must meet the criteria for the relevant award category as outlined in the nomination and application process.

→ Each question is marked out of 20 with the maximum total being 100 per category.

4. Confidentiality and Privacy:

→ All nominations will be kept anonymous to ensure fairness and protect the privacy of the nominees.

5. Judging and Selection:

→ Winners will be selected by a professional panel of judges.

→ The panel's decision is final and will not be discussed with anyone outside of the judging panel.
